KSMO Radio is proud to stream a portion of our weekday news schedule, the Open Market
and Salem Tigers Sports
through the EZ Stream Internet Broadcasting Network.
KSMO streams local news Monday through Friday at 7:05 in the morning and again at 12:05 in the afternoon. The local news features top stories affecting Salem and Dent County, and also includes sports and weather as well as obituaries.
KSMO also streams our highly popular call-in show called the Open Market where people can buy, sell or trade items. Services to be offered are no longer allowed on the Open Market such as babysitting or grass cutting, but listeners can ask for those services to be performed. You can have a total of 12 items on the Open Market at one time through submission of items electronically, through the mail or by dropping them off at the KSMO studios, or by phoned in items during the show. You can submit items to the Open Market by going to the Open Market button on this website. KSMO Radio does not accept call-in items at any time except during the Open Market show itself and those items are only repeated for that day.
KSMO is proud to stream interviews that are held at the station such as those with Mayor Gary Brown after Salem Board of Aldermen meetings, with Intercounty Electric representatives on the second Tuesday of the month, with the Department of Conservation and Forest Service on the first Thursday of the month, with Presiding Commissioner Darrell Skiles on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month, and with Hospital Administrator Dennis Pryor on the Wednesday after the Hospital Board of Directors meeting each month. Those interviews begin at 8:30 in the morning. KSMO will also air and stream ten to 15 minute Salem Hospital program updates each Wednesday at 9:15.
KSMO also streams Salem Tiger Sports including Football, Volleyball, Softball, Boys and Girls Basketball and Baseball. Only varsity games are broadcast. Remember, there can be some minor interruptions for buffering that can be caused by your computer or your Internet Service Provider when you listen on your computer.
You will also find by clicking on the buttons that KSMO archives these broadcasts for as long as one year after their initial brodacast. Check out our archives which currently go back to 2006 for Salem Tiger Sports.
