The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has issued a CODE YELLOW alert for type O NEGATIVE BLOOD. A BLOOD DRIVE will be held today at Salem Wood Products located at 200 Stave Mill Road from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Salem Eagles Club Valentine Dinner will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The dinner includes: steak, which includes ribeyes, potato and a salad. The Salem Memorial District Hospital will be having a General Health Screening on Wednesday, February 8th and Thursday, February 9th from 6:00 to 9:00 am in the Out Patient Surgery Area. The Basic Profile will be offered for $25. They will also be offering: Hs-CRP, Hgb A1c, TSH, PSA and Urine Microalbumin tests for $10 each and a Bone Density for $25. Check out the two photo collages created by John Hambacker and you will find those on the storefronts of Kinerk Realty at 119 West Fourth Street and the former furniture store located at 118 West Fourth Street. Jay Anderson and Charles Pace helped create 61 signs that are now on utility poles downtown depicting the history of Salem people, businesses and historic homes. You can pick up a “Walking Tour” guide at stores on Fourth Street, and also at the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Office or the Ozark Natural and Cultural Resource Center.
